The Thyestes Chase looks as competitive as ever today with so many horses in with a chance. Admittedly it was a long time ago when DEATH DUTY was sent off 13/8 favourite for the Albert Bartlett, 5 years to be exact, but I have seen enough in his recent runs to suggest he will be competitive here off a mark of 139. At his peak he was rated 152 and although it takes a bit of faith to suggest he can get back to that level again now at the age of 11 after a career blighted by injuries I do think he is better than his current mark. At a big price he gets the vote today.
