MAX VEGA was a big eye catcher last time out in the Ebor and this promising young stayer should be playing a big part in the 3.20 at Newmarket today. Ralph Beckett’s charge won the Zetland here a few years back but hasn’t quite scaled the same heights since despite shaping considerably well on numerous occasions. The way he finished his race off at York suggests the step up to 2 mile should pose no problems today and his rivals aren’t exactly bang in form so he looks to have a favourite’s chance.
