After backing Van Gerwen last time out you are well within your right to think I’m a little bit silly for deserting him in the 2.45 at Beverley today. He looks likely to be in the shake up but I’m not convinced he really wants soft ground although he does have some form on such a surface.
To me, this looks the sort of race that EAST STREET REVUE pops up and wins over a course and distance he seems to thrive off. Tim Easterby’s horse has an enviable course record and as we all know course form stands for so much around here. A handy low draw could prove crucial and although you have to take a chance on his well being after two quiet runs this season, it wouldn’t be the first time he pops up when you least expect him to.
