It’s a really interesting day at Ascot today and I will certainly have a pen and notepad at the ready. Despite it being a bit of a fact finding mission I do think there are some nice betting propositions at the same time.
First of those is MOSTAWAA who’s form in the Spring Mile at Doncaster could not be working out much better. The winner has won again since, the 6th has won and the 5th horse home ran a gallant race at Ayr the other day so it certainly looks like a good bit of form. The stiff nature to Ascot will also suit as Heather Main’s horse has ran his best races in similar conditions.
Ellie McKenzie takes over the steering and takes a valuable 5lb off so it’s no surprise the 9/2 that was on offer last night was gobbled up as he looks to have a great chance.
In the finale I think ROSE HIP is a fantastic each way bet at 8/1. Tony Carroll’s filly is a really solid horse who always runs her race and was only out of the 3 on two occasions last season from 11 runs. A recent pipe opener at Bath would have teed her up nicely for this assignment and Tom Marquand’s presence in the saddle suggests a bold run is incoming. Rewaayat is likely to go lickety split which might just tee it up nicely for my selection to rattle home late on.
