Ben`s Tips of The Day

MOLINEUAX seems to love it around and I’m backing him to get his head back in front there today. Colin ‘s horse has been bang in form recently but hasn’t quite finished the job off yet this season although he doesn’t look a million miles away. He has been running over 2 miles but steps up in trip today and I think that could be the key as he has just looked a little tapped for toe over the shorter trip. The extra four furlongs will allow Jonjo O’Neill Jr to get his mount into a rhythm and if able to do so I think he is more than good enough to win this.

The Foxhunter Chase on the card would rarely be a race I would be looking to bet in but DASHING PERK would look to have an outstanding chance in the 3.45 at Wincanton. I won’t be surprised if he goes off favourite as I’m almost certain Caid Du Berlais is going to need this and the 2m 4f trip around Wincanton isn’t going to be his cup of tea. However, Richard Newland’s horse should really appreciate this test having finished second in a competitive handicap at in December which isn’t all too dissimilar a test. His target is supposedly the Aintree Foxhunters and Newland is keen to keep him fresh so this race ties in nicely.

He is relatively lightly raced for a horse of his age and his most recent form is probably stronger than that of his rivals. 9/4 looks a fair price.

Wincanton 2.05 – Molineaux

Wincanton 3.45 – Dashing Perk
