I WANT people to know the name Brian Toomey on merit, on my achievements in and out of the saddle, not because of my accident.
Brian Toomey was clinically dead for six seconds. Solway Dandy had taken a heavy fall three hurdles from home at Perth in the summer of 2013, catapulting his rider head first into the ground.
Paramedics raced to save him and things looked decidedly grim. He had to be resuscitated on the track before being rushed to hospital.
