When I was first introduced to this wonderful sport of ours I remember that the Arc was always a fillies’ race. They said that it was the time of year that made all the difference, when the fairer sex flourished and the boys had had enough. In the late 70’s and early 80’s the likes of Three Troikas, Allez France, Akiyda and All Along emerged victorious in the end of season mile and a half championship race.
