II would like to recommend a book I believe everyone involved in horses from the betting shop to the racecourse should read. It is If Horses Could Talk by Gary Witheford. It is a Racing Post publication. Now I have to admit that parts of this otherwise excellent book are a bit on the shocking side and in other parts you have to accept that Witheford knows more about horses and their welfare than you or I.
