Mark Johnston was given a racehorse by his father when he was ten and was set on becoming a trainer from the age of 14 when the walls of his bedroom at Aberfoyle 25 miles north of Glasgow were decorated with pictures of great Champions including Brigadier Gerard, Nijinsky and Mill Reef.
