Every race this afternoon was run under a different sky. We had the full gamut from stormy to blazing sunshine. They were running here on extremely fast ground, while 60 miles away at Littlewindsor the meeting was abandoned because the track was waterlogged. Is it any wonder we British are so obsessed with the weather?
Due to the ground, it wasn’t a surprise that the field sizes shrunk as the card progressed with horses kept in their lorries. Foxworthy’s win in the Open Maiden...
