Tribute to 12-year-old former King George winner who has been retired

THE legion of Cue Card fans breathed a big sigh of relief after the popular chaser was retired.
The 12-year-old chaser was going to have one more race at Sandown at the end of this month.
But he didn’t fire on the gallops in the build-up and connections decided to call it a day.
Cue Card has been a fixture at the big meetings since winning the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in 2010.
He went on to win a King George and run well on the big occasion many times.
