Ben`s Tips of The Day 6.11.20
Any offer of odds against for STOLEN SILVER should be snapped up as I think he should be a warm favourite for the 1.00 at Warwick. The bookies think Allmankind is the one to beat but as I expected he got beat on his return at Cheltenham and not being the biggest horse in the world, isn’t guaranteed to go over the larger obstacles. Fred is a tidy horse but hasn’t beat much in his career to date and shapes more like a stayer to me so 2 miles around Warwick isn’t going to be his optimum.
My selection has the form in the book and the scope to make a chaser but admittedly he will have to brush up his jumping. He made one or two novicey errors at Newton Abbot on chase debut but still kept tabs on two high class rivals. In my view he could put in a similar round of jumping and still win this but I do expect him to improve and the jock in the saddle is riding like a man possessed just recently.
SORBET was a big eye catcher last time out when she finished 2nd behind the in form, well handicapped Pink Sheets. Lucy Wadham’s mare conceded first run to the eventual winner and could never bridge the gap but Bryony Frost only reached for the stick after the last and by then she had mastered the rest of her rivals including next time out winner Princess T. I expect some improvement from that run but in all honesty this isn’t that great a race so she wouldn’t have to improve too much to be competitive.
