Trainer Willie Mullins remains confident Annie Power will be fit for next month’s Cheltenham Festival.
Annie Power is yet to make an appearance this season after suffering a setback in November, but Mullins feels she is now ready to make a return.
“I’m very happy with her – so far, so good,” Mullins is quoted as saying by the Yorkshire Evening Post. “We’ve not had any more setbacks since Christmas.”
The seven-year-old suffered her only defeat in 12 starts in the World Hurdle last season as she finished runner-up behind More Of That and Mullins’ charge holds an entry in this year’s edition of the race.
Annie Power is also entered in the Champion Hurdle and the OLBG Mares’ Hurdle, and the trainer says the latter is the more likely option for his mare.
He added: “At the moment that (Mares’ Hurdle) is the way we’d be looking.”
