Kildangan Stud managing director Joe Osborne has accepted an offer from Godolphin to become their chief executive on a permanent basis.
Following the resignation of John Ferguson from the role two weeks ago Osborne has been operating as an interim chief executive but, Sheikh Mohammed, reportedly asked him to take the role on a full-time basis at Royal Ascot this week, and he has accepted.
The new chief executive is apparently going to remain at his base in Co Kildare but will be making the trip to Newmarket, where Godolphin's two main trainers are based, on a regular basis.
