Ellison excited by Seamour chances

Brian Ellison admits he rates Seamour's chances of claiming a high-profile treble over the coming months.

The six-year-old looked sharp in finishing third on his seasonal reappearance last month at and his next outing will be the on July 1.

Ellison believes a victory could set him up nicely for his runs in August's at York before a trip Down Under for November's .

The Malton-handler admits his stable star is the best he's ever had and believes he may well be set for a big few months.

“He's flying. He's in great form, touch wood.” said Ellison. “I don't know who's riding him (at ) yet.

“I think he's the best horse I've ever trained. Hopefully the plan is the Plate, Ebor and Cup.

“He needs to go up 7lb to get in the Melbourne Cup, so we could do with winning one of those two handicaps first. I think he'll have a massive chance.”
