George targets BetBright hat-trick

admits he is confident about Double Shuffle's chances of earning him a third BetBright Chase triumph on Saturday.

The seven-year-old won last time out at and return to the Surrey course for the three-miler, which his trainer has enjoyed plenty of success in recent years.

George saw guide Nacarat to victory in 2009, before Paddy Brennan repeated the trick aboard the same horse three years later.

Adrian Heskin has been given ride on Saturday and the Gloucestershire handler admits he is feeling good about Double Shuffle's chances of securing him a hat-trick in the race.

George said: “He wants to get on with things a bit and the key is to get him to settle. We put a hood on him at Kempton last time out and it worked a treat as he gets to be ridden prominently, which he likes, but it just keeps a lid on him.

“That was over course and distance and he stayed it well and he appreciates a bit of decent ground.”
