Frankie Dettori will saddle Order Of St George at Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
The Italian jockey had originally been due to ride 2015 Champions Stakes winner Fascinating Rock in the Group One race, before trainer Dermot Weld revealed that the five-year-old would not be competing.
Dettori, who is aiming for a fifth win in the 12-furlong feature, will now ride the Aidan O'Brien-trained Order Of St George, who claimed Gold Cup glory at Ascot in June, but could only secure a second place finish at the Curragh last time out.
The Bay Colt will be hoping to return to winning ways on Sunday, and Dettorri has complete faith that the four-year-old can mount a serious challenge for overall glory.
“Postponed is clearly the biggest threat. It's difficult to see any flaws in the favourite but my horse is trained by a genius. Now I've had the good news confirmed I can relax a bit and start looking forward to a big run,” Dettorri wrote in his blog for bookmaker Ladbrokes.
